You have a host who has agreed to host a virtual party event. Now what?
We have come along way from having in home party events. Today, direct sellers have many options to have events, in home parties, destination parties, Facebook parties, virtual parties, text parties, messenger parties or video parties. Times are changing and more people want to have a party with their family and friends to stay connected whether they are near or far. Online parties are an option for hosts because they can have fun without cleaning their house, but have the same feel as an in person event to share a product that they like.
1. Pick a date and time: What days or time works best for you to schedule? For instance, Wednesday and Sundays at 7:00pm. Provide date and time to host and ask which date works best. If there is a situation that you need to be flexible and it works for your schedule, then you will having a specific date and time that works for both of you.
3. Party themes. Themes are fun, however, if you need to find graphics or make your own, this could be time consuming. If you want to make your own graphics, I recommend you make a template that you can easily adjust your graphics to match a theme. Having a general template that has your branding and basic company and product information is ideal since you can adjust graphics for new products or specials that are available for the event.
4. Coach your host. (This is very important) Do not assume your host will know what to do. You want your host to have a successful, fun event. Find out information about her and her guest to make the party event unique. Go over the host rewards (if any) and what she can earn. Get the host excited and she will be excited and interactive during the event.
5. Have a plan: Have a fun event by planning your graphics or party themes ahead of time. You want you event to be fun, provide tips, games and products. 80/20 rule is for 80% fun and 20% sales. You do not want to have the event just be about sales and what is in it for you. Lead with value and build customers. You do not want your event to be a one time sale with your host and guests. You want to have fun and book more events and build repeat customers by adding them into your customer group, email list or potential team members.
Make sure your host feels that the event is about her and her guests and not about you and your potential sales. You want to make this event fun and enjoyable.
